The first option that she mentioned, where a fetus is XY (and therefore MALE) but either the testosterone needed during pregnancy is never made or the fetus' body doesn't recognize the testosterone, is called Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome!. These babies are born with external female genitalia, but genetically, they're still male!. Only a DNA test would prove it!.
There are a bunch of web sites discussing this disorder, and several of them include their reasoning for why they believe this is true of Jamie Lee Curtis!.

Her father and others are on record as saying NO, she is not a hermaphrodite!. It is true she is childless and rather mannish looking!.
A couple of options are: 1) her chromosomes are XY but testosterone never kicked in, not even in the womb, making her externally anatomically female!. This is usually diagnosed only after puberty is supposed to start and a failure to menstruate is noticed!.
2) She has Kallmann's Syndrome, where everything is normal up to puberty age, where puberty never happens and the person doesn't develop secondary sex characteristics like a beard for males or curves for females!. Naturally this is also typically diagnosed after puberty is supposed to start!.
