Ashley loved "her spirit" as he says at one point in the movie!. And yes he kissed her several times but thats because he thought she'd take the token and get on with her life (shows how much he understands women!.!.!.hmp!)!. Ashley loved Melly!. He did lead Scarlett on, and was intrigued by her vigor though!. His false advances on her was why it was so hard for her to let go and pay attention to her feelings about the other people in her life, esp!. Rhett!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
