He was hiking in Hawaii in 1996!.!.!. injured his hip!. He was suppossed to have surgery!.!.!. band waited around 2 years!.!.!. gave him choice, get the surgery or we'll replace you because window of opportunity was closing after success of previous album!.!.!. Perry felt pressured and quit!. Last I heard he lives in Hanford, California outside of Fresno quite a bitWww@Enter-QA@Com
Oddly enough, I am acquainted with Steve and he never speaks about it!. He actually gets pissed when the subject comes up!. Personally, I think he probably regrets his decisions and doesn't want to discuss the single largest mistake ever made by anyone in that position!. That band was a money maker and he blew it!.!.!.they all did!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Conflicting interests in the band!. Easier to go solo then put up with issues that 25+ years later are still there within the band!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
