Question: Why is it when a celebrity such as Heath ledger dies thats when he gets recognition!.!?
I am an extreme fan of him and have followed his brillant career!. It just pisses me off when someone dies that he gets nominated for an Oscar!. We should appreciate the actor when he is alive and give him support and most of all RESPECT!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

good point marsely!. i feel that ur right & that happens with a lot of actors who die!. take marilyn monroe 4 example!. when she was alive, she was famous yeah but nothing like the legend which become when she died!. she is considered the most famous sex icon of the 20th century & yet when she was living she was also disrespected in many ways & wasn't even resigned in contracts with 20th century fox in her early years!.
i also am a fan of heath ledger!. he was a good looking man & also an aussie!. i am going 2 see the dark night on saturday to celebrate his life!. i respect him now just as much as i did b4!. i guess knowing that they person can't create any more films also makes u appreciate them more too, adding 2 the fact that they become more famous!.

i see where you're coming from, but he deserves to be nominated don't you think!? passed away or not, i have a feeling he would have received the nomination nonetheless!. yes, i think the fact that he did pass away plays a huge factor into the possible nomination but
i just saw dark knight, and it was very different from his usual roles and it's downright eerie how well he portrayed such a troubled character!.
it's obvious to anyone in this role that he was a marvelous actor and it's a shame we will not be able to see his ever rising progress

He was, actually, pretty famous before he died!. Maybe he didn't win a lot of awards, but he was famous!.
However, you are right!. Exactly when "The Dark Knight" was finished, which probably would have sky-rocketed Heath's career, he died!. Think of how successful he could have been if he would have stayed around!?

He is an ace actor, but there was enough publicity for the poor bugger prior to release, so people have watched him very carefully, not only that apparently his depression did come out while acting for the movie,I!.E he was very much depressed but the movie helped him threaputicaly !. anyways i hope i answered your question!.!.!. I think brilliance takes a little bit of insanity!. I too liked him in the other movies I saw him in, but dark knight looks exeptional!. Perhaps his talent weighed on him like it can so many great artists!? Maybe it's all a coincidence!. Either way, it's a good thing that he gets his recognition for his work now, rather than never at all!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
he was very famous before he passed away!. but now its just that more people are realising how talented he actually was-!.and the fact that his last movie could have been one of the reasons that he was ill!. people are realising how serious the business is and that it can really take its toll on the actorsWww@Enter-QA@Com
