I think he knows his footballing days are coming to an end and like a squirrel, he needs to hoard his money to tied him over for the 'dry periods' when he is older and people lose interest in him!. Think about the money he and his wife waste on diamonds, they go through cash like the rest of us go through loo rolls!.
