why does everyone want to be like someone or meet someone from television shows or in movies or have an album out!?

There are many reasons why this is!.
Because the media make such a big deal about them, the paparazzi are always following them around, going to extreme lengths to take their picture, etc!.!.!.
It makes us think that they ARE a big deal, and don't put things in perspective, like you just explained "they're normal people who make a lot of money"!.
Some people idolise celebrities because they like the idea of being rich, famous and beautiful, and have no real reasons (that aren't superficial) to idolise them!.
Some people idolise celebrities, and even celebrities themselves idolise them because they have done something, have a talent that have left them in awe!.
I!.e Robert De Niro is idolised by hundreds of celebrities (actors in particular) because he is such an amazing actor!.
The Beatles are idolised by many celebrities (musicians in particular) because they were such an amazing band!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
