It's because these people think wrongly and believe that anyone who doesn't like what they like are awful people!. People don't realize that we were all born with different opinions and tastes and instead of accepting that, they hound each other for it!.
I personally do not like The Jonas Brothers, but that doesn't mean I'm going to automatically judge someone who is crazy about them!. I know what it's like to have other people hate on what you like!. It is really obnoxious on both ends when someone is like "OMG I ******* LOVE JOE AND IMMA GONNA MARRY HIM" and when someone else is like "THE JONAS BROS NEED TO GET HIT BY A CEMENT TRUCK BAHAHAHAHA!"

I love the Jonas Brothers!. But to answer yr question!.!.!.not everybody HAS to be in love with them!. Some people don't like boy bands!. For some people, it could just be jealousy!. Some people could feel that they are better, and deserve to be up there, instead of the Jonas Brothers!. You can never judge someone just because they don't like who you want them to!.
