Question: If playing the joker was the cause of heath ledger's death, would you still want him to have taken the role!?

First of all, the role did kill him!.
Friends close to Heath said that he had finally been clean for about 2 years, then the movie depressed him (Imagine playing that role, how depressing would that be!?), and he got back on the drugs!. One needle to many, and he is on the floor dead!.
No, after watching Knight's Tale, Cassanova and The Patriot, I would much rather have him making 10 more awesome movies, than just this one film, that not even counting that a human life should be more important to people than a movie!.!.!.then again, this is America, some people are messed up!.

Playing the Joker certainly took Ledger to the darkest places of his mind, but it didn't kill him!. He had battled drugs and alcohol for many years!. It was a deadly combination of drugs that ended his life!. I do not believe that he was doing the drugs because of his role in the movie either!. Heath Ledger's death could have been avoided had his doctors been more responsible in writing prescriptions for him!. It was a tragic accident, nothing more!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

but the MOVIE would've been terrible if he didn't take it,
and the only other person i can picture as the joker that could play it in a mediocre manner would have to be, jack nicholson and heath was DEFINITELY way better!.

i love keith ledger! And if so then no because he was a great perrson and should have never forced him self to play the role so good to have a over dose that was wrong!. but if ther was an if in that then no he should have never died
