I don't think the Jonas Brothers compare to great bands like U2 or The Beatles or The Rolling Stones, etc!.!.!. but I think they're great at their genre of music!. Their music is really sincere and they're really sweethearts (I met them once and they were so nice! It was before they were famous, but they still are so sweet)!. Their music is really catchy, they're really funny, and I think they're just wholesome and people that I would like to hang out with :)

Let's begin with your opening comment and question!.
The Jonas Brothers are respectable people!. They have respect for other human beings!. They don't let their egos get to them!. They wear purity rings!. They have senses of humor!. Their music is decent (which I will allow you to disagree with since music is about tastes and yours may differ from mine)!. They put family first!. They believe in their religion!. They write their own songs!. They actually sing and sing well rather than lip-syncing!. They're actual PEOPLE instead of just stars!. The list goes on!.
The Jonas Brothers can be compared to bands of the 60s and 70s just like bands from the 60s were likely compared to bands before them!. It's life!. We're human!. We like to compare things!.
Not all of the fans do that!. Please don't generalize!.
