That case was even more fake than the 2003-2005 case!.
Jordan Chandler (unlike Gavin Arvizo) claimed that Michael Jackson raped him and sexually molested/assualted him!. However, it is known that video/audio recording of Jordy's father shows him making the following statement "That guy's not gonna sell another record after what we do to him!. His career will be finished after these charges are put forth!." Who do you think that guy is!? Thats right, Michael Jackson!. All they wanted to do was to ruin his career and get some moolah!. And they did get that moolah, from Michael Jackson's INSURANCE COMPANY, not MICHAEL JACKSON HIMSELF!. And the supposed $26 million dollars that was paid, was under NO CONTROL of Michael Jackson!.
And you know what the funny thing is!? When Thriller 25 came out, photographers actually got a picture, of, yes, the Jordan Chandler himself, the young 13 year old that accused Michael of RAPING him, buying that CD!.

I don't know if I'm really a fan, but I have listened to Thriller, which I thought was great, and I plan to listen to Off the Wall soon!. To answers your question, I try to separate the 80's Micheal Jackson from the 2000's Michael Jackson!. 80's Michael is a cool guy!. 00's Michael is not someone I'd want to spend time with!. I'm not sure what will happen if I ever get into 90's Michael!. It could screw up my whole point of view, because it would create a bridge from a genius to a freak!.
