Michael Jordan man!. While Phelps' feat is nothing short of phenomenal, it doesn't compare to way millions of youth everywhere look at MJ and his accomplishments and want the 'dream' for themselves!. Even non-basketball starting athletes want to be like Mike!.
also, the sad reality is that after the Olympics are over , people will forget about Phelps!. If you don't think so, then think about this, did you know who Mark Spitz was before the Olympics started, I'm betting the majority of us didn't!. On the other hand, MJ is a person who may not be at the forefront of things at the current time right now, but, his legacy is constantly more referenced than Spitz (inside and outside basketball)!.
also, think about this: Jordan is an American Superstar, but his reach and influence goes beyond the US!. He's internationally renowed!. I doubt many people internationally would know about Phelps if the Olympics were not an international affair!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
