How can anyone be a true fan and actually believe that he killed himself!? Answer - you can't! I have read many books on the subject (from many different points of view) and have come to the conclusion (by myself) that Courtney, although I don't believe she did it herself, she arranged to have him killed, and I point the finger of blame to Cali, the male nanny!.
The "suicide" note has been proven to have had bits added onto it (for example the "to Boddah" [his childhood imaginary friend] and the bit about looking after Francis) in different handwriting!. The main body of the note was simply about his decision to leave Nirvana (which I don't believe he would have ever sent off, especially as it was written in red ink and not very formal!)!.
