Well she is doing her best to let her own personality shine to ensure she has her own fan base and stardom without ridding the coat tails of her sister!. It would be annoying if you were trying to share information about yourself or promote an album and people constantly wanted to know information about your sister that is obviously a private person for reasons unknown!. As for her not wanting to talk about Jay-Z, I would be upset if they wanted to know about my brother-in-law and not about me and he does not have the same strong international market appeal as his wife or what Solange may potentially have!.
I do not think she was trying to be a diva when she refused to comment!. Especially when she is trying to be recognized as an artist!. On her new album, Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams which is decent in terms of writing, production still needs some work and she does vocally there is a song entitled "God Given Name!." In the song she says something to the effect of she wants you to listen, come in with your ears she is one person and her sister is another!. They both are trying to reach the same destination but have taken two different paths and she is not a famous singers sister, but an artist in her own right!.
Is that a diva or someone that is trying to be recognized as an individual promoting herself!?
Personally I think that she goes on the deep end, but that could only be because her sister and the rest of the family have this facade that they are trying to maintain and she is the only person that knows she has to fight because she doesnt want to ride her sisters success, although it has helped her get where she is now, but I wouldn't want to be remember as that girls sister!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
