They do it because they know that if they were to produce a lot of albums, they would do well!. If the Disney star has a good fan base, anything they come out with would make lots of money!.
I agree that they are not good singers, but it's just a money-making scheme, so having a good voice doesn't matter at all!.

-lion king
-little mermaid
-hercules
-toy story
-aladdin!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.and so on!.
those stories are timeless and beautiful!. amazing, heart touching soundtracks and unforgettable characters!
Now its all just High school style stuff
