Was LZ stoned when they wrote/sang "Stairway to Heaven"? Or do they po!
Question: Was LZ stoned when they wrote/sang "Stairway to Heaven"!? Or do they portray what it feels like getting stoned!?
I am the biggest fan of LZ and their music: simply stunning!.
I, however think LZ was stoned when they sang this song (or this is what they are trying to portray)!. The reasons why I say this are:
1) The song is 'very slow'!. If anyone has been stoned, they would know that the mind goes in fast, 'slow and very slow motions' almost simultaneously; oscillating between these states!. The song starts very slowly in the beginning, and towards the end goes at breathtaking speed (esp after the beautiful rebellious riffs at 5:40)!.
2) When a person is stoned, they seem to be more 'aware' of their surroundings!. They seem to 'feel' a lot of things!. In this song, there are numerous examples of this:
"There is a song-bird who sings", "I have seen rings of smoke through the trees", "and it makes me wonder" (portraying how much a stoned person thinks), "and the forests will echo with laughter", "your head is humming and it wont go", and there are a bunch of other examples!.
3) I feel that LZ's songs make a hell lot more sense to me when I'm stoned with pot!. A lot of kids today don't like/get LZ's songs because they dont know the feeling!.
Instead of bashing me for smoking pot, I would appreciate it if you could give a straight answer to the question!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
