I like Jonas Brothers and Hinder too! It's OK to like different types of music!. It's all what ever mood your in I think!. Different music for different moods! And if you parents don't know you like the other bands it's probably because the other bands are a bit more edgy than the Jonas Brothers;) The lyrics are probably something parents wouldn't want their children to listen too!. I listen to a lot of completely different genres!. Here's an example of bands/singers I have on my MP3!. The * means either that I only have one or two songs by them, they are a guilty pleasure, or I only like their old stuff way better!. Most of the time the reason why I like only one or two songs by band/singer is because I haven't time to listen to other songs by them!. I might like more songs by them!. I don't know!.!.!.!.

Now, about the parent issue!. Just tell them that you like other music too!. If you listen to The Jonas Brothers all of the time in the car, then rent (at the library) or buy the CD and start listening to it in the car!. Or if the songs are on your MP3, iPod, or whatever and then sing at outloud!. That's what I did when I began came a fan of Emilie Autumn, I'm going to do it with The Gothic Archies, too!.
My parents--- well, my mom and sister--- think I'm OBSESSED with Evanescence, but I'm not!. I greatly RESPECT Evanescence and Amy for writing such beautiful music!. I mean, if I'm SOOOO obsessed with Evanescence, then why didn't I BEG ON MY HANDS AND KNEES if I could go to a concert in Indianapolis, which only takes about two hours to get there from where I live!? Because I thought they might say no, with the high gas prices and all!. I swear, the next time my sister take a crack at Evanescence and how I'm SO obsessed I'll tell her that!.
Or maybe I'll just give her a taste of her own medicine and tell her what sluts Miley and Vanessa Hudgens are!. She's three years OLDER than me, and she listens to them!? While I listen to (mostly) real music!? HA!
Seriously though, she only listens to what's mainstream at the moment!. A few days ago I saw her deleting some once popular songs off of her playlist, and they weren't THAT old either! It makes me sick!.

IDK cause I like SOME JB songs but lately im getting over it and I use to like Hinder, but they solld out!. I do like Flyleaf!. I have the same problem because I LOVE Bullet For My Valentine, H!.I!.M, Pink Floyd, Nirvana any rock really but I think we can like all types of music!. Ihate it when they use labelsWww@Enter-QA@Com
