Disney and Warner Bros!. today announced plans for a "High School Musical" – "Twilight" crossover film that will co-star Zac Efron, the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus!. Set for release in June of 2009, it has already sold !.2 billion worth of advance tickets on Fandango!.com!.
The new film, tentatively titled “Twilight: The High School Musical,” will follow Bella Swan from the “Twilight” book series as she transfers to East High School and discovers that Troy Bolton (Efron) is a cousin of her vampire love Edward Cullen!. In a twist from the first “Twilight” movie coming out this November, Cyrus will play Bella and Joe Jonas will take the role of Edward, who gets jealous when he discovers Bella co-starring in a musical withTroy!. Nick Jonas will play Edward’s previously unseen adorable kid brother!. Kevin Jonas will play a janitor!.
“America’s teenage and pre-teen girls now belong to us,” Warner Bros!. chairman Alan Horn and Walt Disney Pictures chairman Dick Cook said in a joint statement!. “Our research shows that this film will bring the nation’s babysitting economy to a halt as girls between the ages of 9 and 17 literally move into the nation’s multi-plexes for the summer to watch ‘Twilight: The High School Musical’ in a never-ending loop!.”
Responses across the country have ranged from ecstatic to incoherently insane!.

“Twilight: the High School Musical” will replace the previously planned “Twilight 2” and “High School Musical 4!.”
Cook and Horn said they will only stop playing the film in theaters when American parents band together and offer the two companies a bribe of at least million!. “The bigger the bribe, the fewer tie-in products we release and the longer we wait to release the film on DVD and start production on a sequel,” the two executives added!. “Parents across the nation: If you ever want to see your daughters again, you will pay dearly to the Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros!.”
