I don't think they are obligated to sign autographs or take pictures on request!.
Each celebrity needs to decide on their own, under what circumstance they are willing to sign or take pictures (if at all)!.
They have chosen a lifestyle which lends itself to this practice, but unless they are in a public venue, they have right to their own private time away from the public eye!. They should have the right to sit in a coffee shop with a friend, shop on the streets, or go watch a movie, without being bothered by fans!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No, they're not obliged!. Because most of the people chasing celebrities for their autographs are not actual fans, they are autograph hunters ( the autographazzi) and they sell the autographs on e-bay, gain money from this!. And when a celebrity refuses to sign, they got mad or extremely rude!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Like imagine a celebrity never giving his fans attention then he will lose them all, so I think that signing autographs and sending emails, calling fans!.!. etc really builds the celebrity's popularity and increases his fans!.

No, but they should be gracious in their refusal!. And let's not forget what happened to John Lennon!. Celebrities might be afraid to stop and make themselves vulnerable to a lunatic "fan"!. As a non celebrity I get uncomfortable if I think someone is staring at me!. People can be dangerous folks!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You would think that that is a part of being a celeb, but I just saw yesterday that Ringo Starr has asked that fans stop writing him asking for autographs and the like!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
To a degree, yes!. If it's a young fan then I feel that they are obligated to because most young fans don't understand rejection from a star!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
