Who is better "System of the down" or "metallica "?!

well, first off it's system of A down!. so I guess this shows your preference [Metallica]!. But I would agree!. As bad as Metallica's new(er) stuff was, you can't beat the classics - Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, !.!.!.And Justice for All - because those are the absolute epitome of 80's melodic thrash!.
My vote is 100% for Metallica!.
But it's very difficult to compare the two!. If you look at a song like Master of Puppets, or Fade to Black, the song flows, and is coherent, and shows true talent in both the orchestration and the execution!. However, if I try to compare this musical masterpiece to a System of a Down song, such as BYOB, there is no comparison!. The different riffs in BYOB are hardly coherent, and the singing (at some points, screeching) is not quite my style!. The song randomly and unpredictably jumps from smooth to jarring!. A main component of music is tension and release!. Metallica are masters at this!. But I find much of System of a Down's music to totally ignore this practice!. It jumps from mellow to intense with no hint of tension, or even simply a smooth build up!. Though some may argue as proponents of this ("unpredictable is good! it's not boring!"), it just lacks the overall aesthetic pleasure that comes from a coherent and logical song like many of Metallica's!.However, I am not saying that ALL SoaD songs are incoherent and spastic!.
I am not particularly well-versed in System of a Down's catalog, but I believe Aerials to be an unusual song among their repertoire!. Aerials is quite coherent, and actually a really cool song!. It really flows, demonstrates some writing ability with its tension and release, and doesn't erupt into a jarring, screeching, explosion!.
Classical music was the root of all music, and Metallica's music follows its classical influence far better than System of a Down's does!. System of a Down is (I find) spazzy and inconsistent!. Being a musician myself, and well versed in theory, I have a great appreciation for great music, but cannot warm up to System of a Down!. Perhaps I am more conservative in my tastes, but I find that hard to believe, as I enjoy many other, more intense bands, such as Aborted, Between the Buried and Me, Carcass, Lamb of God, and Opeth!.!.!.
System of a Down are honestly one of the few bands that will make me change the radio station to avoid having to listen to them!. I would take Metallica any day over SoaD!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
