Question: Have you ever been a fan of an actor/singer, only for them to become embroiled in a scandal!?
!.!.!.What do you do!? I loved all music by "The Who", and then Pete Townshend in 2003 was 'cautioned' for viewing illegal online material!. I tried to understand his explanation, but the 'research' excuse really didn't wash and I always view his performances with some slight reservation now!.!.!.!.
Fast forward to 2007, and one of my favourite British comedians, Chris Langham, does the same!. Again, I find it a bit off-putting watching "The Thick of It" now!.
I accept that you can enjoy an artist's output regardless of their personal lives (i!.e!. Michael Jackson), but how can you ever totally disregard any criminal acts similar to the above!?
I am fairly confident fans of Gary Glitter's music will be keeping relatively quiet about it these days!.!.!.!.!.

LOL when I was younger I had a massive crush on John Leslie, then all the Ulrika Jonsson stuff came out, and I still believed him, then the whole snorting coke/Abi Titmuss stuff happened and I finally admitted he was a dirty perv! I really fancied him though - how sad!

Yeah it's a bit disconcerting when that happens!.
I can't think of any criminal acts by people I've admired but I've always liked Steve Coogan yet over the years his behaviour towards women is a bit questionable to say the least!.

I think that happens to all of us, ( unless your favourite band is The Jonas Brothers, who claim to be 'little angels' ), and personally, I don't really care!. OK, it makes you feel let down by that star, and sometimes quite depressed in my case, but their music is what you idolise, or am I wrong!? I mean, Michael Jackson is, mentally and physically, a mess!. But when you watch videos like 'Thriller', you forget all of that, and just sink into the world of music!. And as for actors, it's the same concept!. There are so many actors and actresses out there with problems, but I think that their supporting fans keep them emotionally stable!.
