Personally, I can't take the majority of them seriously as actors!.
Plus, the believability factor goes out the window for me when I'm watching a thriller or a horror movie & then it's J LO up there trying to fight off a serial killer!.
Doesn't fly with me!.
So should they stick to what they do or what!?

I think it depends on the singer, and the role they try to take on, to be honest!.
I doubt highly I could take J-Lo seriously in a dramatic role - but she wasn't that bad in Monster-In-Law - something light and fluffy, with no real substance of which to speak!.
I thought Dave Matthews did a good job in Winn-Dixie!. It was the right role for him!.!.!.He'd be terrible in something more dramatic!.
Though it's small screen (and he's had limited Big Screen engagements) - Ice-T is an incredible actor, in my opinion!. But I can't see him doing comedy anytime soon!.!.!.!.Does that make sense, or am I just kind of babbling over here!?

I can name one who really shouldn't be acting or singing--Jessica Simpson!.
Jon bon Jovi and Gene Simmons both did the acting thing very well!. I think it just depends on each individual and how hard they work at expanding their crafts!. On the other hand, how do you feel about the reality shows featuring musicaians!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Saw the lead singer with Everwhile, Carey Ford, do a pantomime down in Kent recently!. Great audience reaction, especially when she sang!. Great for adding drama and projection to the stage act with the band!. Therefore worth doing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It's usually just as bad when actors try singing!. It seems like they can't be satisfied with the one talent they were given!. They have to try anything else just to get more money! Stick with what you know and maybe more people will respect you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The majority of them are pretty bad but there are some exceptions like David Bowie and Iggy Pop, who both have had great acting careers and have appeared in numerous critically acclaimed films!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

A couple of singer actors are brilliant!. Then theres the few that are okay but should stick to one thing then there are those who should definetly stick to one because acting/singing ruins themWww@Enter-QA@Com
