I like the song but the only thing I can think of would be because there's so many references to how their love will never grow old and he says I'll stick with her until the end of time!.!.!.I mean maybe Reynold's is thinking if the woman ever tried to leave would it result in violence, this is just a thought, I've never read the book your talking about and I've never thought about the song being creepy!.
