Question: Getting into the Hollywood Show Business!?
Hey guys! I have a few questions!. Please answer completely and no rude comments or you won't get the credit of a best answer!
Ok I want to get into show business!. My background is a little bit of school shows, i am a level 8-9 gymnast and i love acting!. I can sing to but acting is my passion!. I want to get an agent, and audition for a disney role! My problem is i have never had any experience with agents, hollywood etc!. so if you can answer the questions below i will appreciate them greatly!
a) Where and how do you get an agent!?
b) How long/where do you travel for auditions
c) How long do auditions usually last!?
d) How many people are you usually competing against first second last round etc!. however it works
e) The advantages and disadvantages of this business!. What do you honestly think if you have had experience auditioning etc!.
f) Where can i get sample Dialogs for practice or to bring to the audition (comedy)
g) How long would it take me and what kind of talent is disney currently looking for
h)How else can you break into the business other than disney i mean good ways and no not american idol!.

Okay let’s take this one at a time!.
a) Where and how do you get an agent!?
You need to send your reel(an example of your talent / in the form of a vhs tape or dvd) to a manager, talent agent or talent agency!. I would suggest looking for a manager first, whereas Managers manage your career and agents for the most part just negotiate the terms and amount of your pay!. b) How long/where do you travel for auditions
That’s up to you and your parents!. Some people travel to other counties for a single audition!.
c) How long do auditions usually last!?
They vary depending on who’s running the audition!. Could be anywhere from 10 seconds to hours on end!. Most commonly I’d say between 5 and 15 min!.
d) How many people are you usually competing against first second last round etc!. however it works
This also varies on many things, such as the size of the production, location, rate of talent involved, etc!. "Open-Calls"(auditions open to the general public) will typically be the most crowded!. A “Call-Back” is what you get when they (production company/director/casting director/producer, etc!.) like you!. The more call backs you get for a single role, the less crowded it becomes, and the better your chance become!.
e) The advantages and disadvantages of this business!. What do you honestly think if you have had experience auditioning etc!.
REJECTION! REJECTION!! REJECTION!!! Rejection comes to us all!. And sometimes it comes in droves!. Grow thick skin, never stop believing in yourself, and don’t quit!. Beside what the hell do they know anyway!?
f) Where can i get sample Dialogs for practice or to bring to the audition (comedy)
Pick a movie/character that moved you!. Pick a line, the shorter the better,(at first) and practice, practice, practice!. Practice in a mirror then graduate to recording your self!. Be sure to practice the body language as well as the close up stuff!.
g) How long would it take me and what kind of talent is disney currently looking for!.
Only God or a good fortune-teller can answer the first part of this question!. Disney like any other major or minor studio or production company are and will always be looking for the next greatest thing!. Any talent or act that they can make money from!.
h)How else can you break into the business other than disney i mean good ways and no not american idol!.

well go to hollywood and ask 4 agents and auditions or something like that there are a lot of those !.!.!. i think so Www@Enter-QA@Com
