"Ghetto"???!

"Ghetto"???
I just answered a question about the term, "Ghetto" and reading other answers...I just had to say/ask something.
Most people think that the "Ghetto" is something that's Low Class, Trash, Bad, Etc. Do people really not understand or not care about where that word originated from?
It's an awful term, I can't believe people still use it... We learn about the holocaust in school growing up so that we can learn from it and so it will never, ever happen again. But not letting go of the negative termonology/beliefs/etc only perpetuates problems.

Hi. I was the one who posted the "what is ghetto" question. i just posted it because i took a fwd quiz type thing about how much stuff i have and i scored as ghetto (the other possible scorings were: Ghetto, or Average, or spoiled Bratt, or upper class snob) and so i was like "whats ghetto?" but like ppl answered my question and stuff and i just wanna say thx because i never new all the stuff you were saying about holocaust and such. so now i get like what they mean modern day and what it originated and im like "wow!" that is awful they use it for what they do now-a-days. soo thx!
