What is this question asking me to do?!

Question:

What is this question asking me to do?

"are women systematically oppressed, or do they subtly balance the men's power?"

it's very confusing for me....

Answers:

Women who are "systematically oppressed" are basically made to feel inferior, either by men, or by the system around them. They claim to be treated unjustly, with cruelty, or harshness. They begin to feel unworthy, weighted down, unable to reach their full potential.

Then there are those who don't believe it's the result of opression, but it's just a way to "balance the men's power", or that it's okay to treat women like dirt. They may even claim that this is the way nature, or God, has intended things. This type of claim is usually made by a man who loves to exhort his "power" over women.

You are being asked whether you believe one way or another. You are being asked for your opinion between the two.
