Should my girlfriend be allowed to smoke in her own bedroom?
My girlfriend is 17 and has been smoking cigarettes for about 6 months. Her parents (non-smokers) let her smoke inside...in every room except her own bedroom. They explain that they don't want her room to be filled with all that smoke. When my girlfriend smokes in her room anyway, she gets in huge trouble.
What I don't get is this...wouldn't it be better if she ONLY smokes in her room? That way her habit is only harming herself. Why do her parents have a problem with it? And what can we do to convince them to let her smoke in her room?
P.S. Her bedroom only has 1 window which won't open.

Eh? Okay, they let her smoke everywhere else? That makes no sense. I don't think you should smoke in the house PERIOD.
