because the bad guys deserve it and true heroes have to make the ultimate sacrifice in action flicks unlike in unrealistic american movies were you get shot six times and dont die. it adds to dramatic effect to romantic and drama movies as theres nothing more tragic. do yourself a favour and watch a wider variety of chinese movies its not all doom and gloom. try a jackie chan movie lots of action humour and always a happy ending.
