Does todays' rock music seem rushed?

i've listened to a lot of rock n' roll music in this day of age. to me, It seems like songs get rushed into the chorus. there's a lot less of the black sabbath's or soundgarden's who take there time-gradually-to make it to that chorus. I'm not necessarily saying it's a negative, but i'm saying that there is less originality from band to band. what do you all think?

The hook is what sells. It's a shame, but in this information era, 30 second edits, record companies pumping it out to maximize profit age you throw out what's going to sell and if you don't land a hook quickly people will flip the dial.
Like I said, incredibly unfortunate, but you're right in what I've noticed too, at least in the mainstream.
