I heard his latest song on a HipHop station here in Detroit. Which is predominately black artist.

JT tries too hard. I am not a hater - I own both of his albums, but truth be told Robin Thicke is more R&B than JT will ever be - if we're talking about white artists currently. Robin Thicke has been at it for awhile also. Just b/c a white singer gets several black producers, sings in falsetto, and gets played on black radio does NOT make him a legitimate R&B artist. The black community seems to have accepted Robin Thicke, but not so much JT b/c it is very obvious that he doesn't respect the culture and music as a whole and is just trying to 'get in.' His 1st attempt at the genre was his 1st single, 'like I love you' that song is rip off of every hit MJ uptempo song. Anyone that has heard old school R&B will consider JT as 'biting' off of such artists. While he is talented at singing and dancing - I'm not going to call him a legit R&B artist just yet. JT hasn't put in the work and seems to want to get to top of the genre without doing so.
