Is there such a thing as people that can't sing?

Well, there are people who cannot match pitch, if that is what you are asking. These people are tone deaf. Tone deaf doesn't just mean they have a ugly instrument to the ear, but they cannot match pitch. They can hear the pitch, but audibly they can't sing it. It is very strange, and what I call a vocal handicap. Kind of like people who can't walk or see. It is a real problem, but these people are not regular occurances in the population.

Then there are those who just have horrible singing instruments. They get hardcore training and develop a confidence with the training. Yet, they still don't sound good to the ear. Yes, you can get better with voice training, but that doesn't mean you will sound good with it. It just improves your voice. It doesn't change it. I do say these people cannot sing well, and that they need to stick to teaching. I say give this opportunity to people who have both technique and good instruments.

There is a thin line between people who can sing, and people who can't sing. You may not like the instrument, but that doesn't mean they can't sing. You just might not like their tone or the genre they sing. Then there are those who are tone deaf, of just wasn't blessed with a natural gift to sing. These people need to find something else to do besides trying to sing in front of people. LOL!
