My iPod wont let me put songs on it from another computer than I normally put so!

Question:

My iPod wont let me put songs on it from another computer than I normally put songs on it with?

My laptop, which has my iTunes and everything for my iPod, is currently broke.

So, I was going to use the regular computer to put some songs on my iPod. I tried plugging in my iPod, and dragging the songs I want from my iTunes on the regular computer, to the little icon of my iPod. Didnt work. Nothing happens?! Any suggestions?

Answers:

Alright, this is a long process but I had to do the same thing when I transferred my iTunes use to another computer in my house.

first: Plug in your ipod and find it in My Computer. Open it up via My Computer. Then under tools find folder options and open that, look through until u find something about hidden folders and files, tell it to show them and close folder options. You should now see a pale folder named iPod_Control or something like that.Open it. Inside will be one or more folders with numbers for names. Now in another My Computer window open the folder where u want ur iTunes Music. Now drag the files from ur iPod to that folder. Wait until copying is finished.

Second: Now that you have all of your music on the new computer open iTunes, and select add folder to library. Then locate the folder where you placed the music and press open. Wait. Once this is finished you will have all of said music in iTunes.

Third: If your iPod is not currently plugged in, plug it in. Now right click it and press refresh (it may say reset dont hold me to that i havent done this in a while), this will clear out your iPod and it will restart, iTunes will find it, you will re-enter your prefrences and it will sync your music.
