Ever take an unexpected fall in your yard then bounce right up and check to see if anyone saw the fall?

I WISH it was the yard. *sigh* It was back in college. (Yes... at the amazing University of Tennessee.... Go vols!!) It was February and we had the unbelievable warm spell where the weather was just amazing. So being the idiot that I am, I put on shorts and flip flops to go to class. Remember... February.... not summer. So besides looking like a weirdo totally dressed for June.... I start climbing these steps that go up the major hill to where the classroom buildings are. It's sooo warm.... I'm so psyched...... so I start taking two and three steps at a time..... in flip flops. Then.... <<SPLAT>> I fell down face first and my books go slidinggggggg across the concrete and into the crowd of students both going up and down the steps. Everyone just stopped and stared thinking I was dead. I slowly look up and just see heads peering down at me. I smiled and then the laughter came from everyone. All I could do was laugh with them and shrug and admit that I was a putz then pick up my books and head to class with skinned knees and a majorly bruised ego. (No one applauded and handed ME a beer..... what good was college without that ?? pfffft)
