Does anyone else remember seeing "666" in old Warner Brothers' cartoon!

Question:

Does anyone else remember seeing "666" in old Warner Brothers' cartoons?

I remember watching old WB cartoons (Daffy Duck and Porky Pig comes to mind, I think) and seeing the number "666" appear in the cartoons. I remember in one episode - which I can't really recall the plot - took place in a hotel and one of the room numbers was "666" and another instance where I think it was a gameshow and Daffy Duck was the host of the game and the contestant, who I think was Porky Pig, won $6.66 as a prize. Does anyone else remember seeing this and does anyone know the meaning behind it? I know a lot of those old cartoons were done in times of war and propaganda, but I never could piece it together when I was little and I haven't seen a WB cartoon (with or without demonic references) in a very very long time.

Answers:

HAHAHAH. Relax, relax. The references to 666 had nothing to do with the animators or writers being tied with Satan. It was just a coincidence that 666 was their local union number. All of the animators, writers, directors, voice actors, etc. were in local union 666 at the time. And if you check out more recent cartoons like WB cartoons like Batman, Animaniacs, or Space Jam, you can see the number 839 being referenced. That's was their union number at the time.
