Answers:

Hello Ben H, Well now Ben, Bulgaria is my favourate subject and the best holiday place for all ages.

We have been to Bulgaria 7 times. The first time we went to Varna, resort of Golden Sands - wonderful place lots of activity at night, clubs, pubs with live music. stalls go on for miles and miles selling all genuine fakes but very good prices. Restruants are expecptional food, wine and music spectacular. Beech very nice as well.

Next 6 time we went to Bourgas - Sunny Beach This is even better than Golden Sands, again all of the above but 10 times better. Beach is wonderful and cleaned everyday. Excellent restruant we always use is Bistro Djanny's, the best in Sunny Beach. 4 people can eat including bottle or two of wine, drinks and coffee for under £25. A beer and orange juice 70p Coffee about 40p

It's so great in Bulgaria. that we have bought 2 houses there and will go in Sept for 3 months to see if we like villiage life. The weather is always nice, you get proper seasons. People are really nice, but like everywhere else you have to be careful, Always check you bills and change as some people do cheat you. Never change money in the street,. Only take out what money you need as there are pickpockets. Would suggest you hire a safe in the hotel as well, just as a precaution. Agree cost of taxis before you accept. One thing I would say, Don't listen to people who say 'don't go outside the resort.' EXPLORE ON YOUR OWN. Get the local bus to Bourgas/Varna and wonder around the lovely shops. Go to the Gypsy market by bus - Its just outside Bourgas. All you need to do is go to the bus station on a Thursday and ask for Gypsy market. Hire a car and see Bulgaria. Believe me my friend you will love it.

Book you holiday online with First Choice, much cheaper that the travel agent. The hotel Yavor is great for the children as there is a water park next door which they can use for about 40p for the day and better still you can watch them from the Yavor pool. Beach is a nice walk away. If you are looking for hotels near the beach then price up the Chakia, Vctoria Palace 4&5* or Grand Sunny Beach, Marvel, Victoria, Global they are on the front, There are lots more but can't remember them. The Medrian is a lovely hotel at the other end of Sunny Beach but well away from the main centre - but it has stalls rest, all around it and about 3 mins to the beach

One other thing: To get the feel of the country and the way of life an how people talk about it . There is a website www.mybulgaria.info This is a great site, with a free forum, anyone can join and a free chat. If you do join my handle is Oddball would be delighted to help any time.

Sorry went on a bit too long, but as I said Bulgaria my favourate subject.

Very best of luck to you Ben-H
