What should I offer?
I'm viewing a house tomorrow. It's 299,000 euros. Even if I love it I'll have to have to try knocking them down. What should I offer without offending?

Usually what happens is you make an offer and they counter-offer with a figure 1/2 way between your offer and their asking price, so keep that in mind. Do a little background into finding out how long the house has been on the market. If it has been a long time you can make a lower offer than if it has been on only a month. Also see if they have moved into another house as they would then be anxious to unload it. You can always make another offer if you can't come to terms the first time, you know.
