Did Inuyasha end prematurally?
I just recently came across the show on Adult Swim, and I noticed that starting tomorrow the series starts back at its beginning.
It just seems that if the episode aired last night was the last of the show, well they ended it way to soon.
Answers: Yes, the anime kind of just ends at episode 168. I think the deal was that the animation studio was putting out episodes faster than Takahashi (author of the manga) could create the comic story. So they ended it. There was talk of it starting back up, but it ended like 2 or 3 years ago...
I recommend (sort of) reading the manga if you want to keep going. Not gonna lie, the plot is really cyclic, and if I hadn't grown such an affinity for the characters through the anime, I wouldn't bother reading the manga. But it's not terrible, and it's updated regularly.
