Why is it that Japanese anime is extremely addicting even to adults?
Is it just me or are there others like me who are really addicted to Japanese anime? (I'm in my 30's btw)
Answers: YES! I have always liked it. And now I watch it with my 13 year old son too. It's like the crack cocaine of entertainment!
BTW I'm in my early 30's too....LOL! it's just you no japanese anime is just that addicting to me its seems to have better storylines then american anime I dunno. ask a physcologist. answer: half naked school girls/ ninjas
and when you say adults, i'm sure you mean males. i don't know any girls over the age of 16 who are into anime 'cause all characters have big eyes. better storyline , more aesthetic ,the charakters have more personality and you never know in what direction it goes.
I'm in my mid 30 's because the Japanese made them to be their 'idealistic' beautiful persons.
and the anime series generally have better plots, and just a better story line then any other comic series. I'm not into a lot of anime, but there are some that I love. (I'm a 20 year old woman, by the way)
From my experience, the stories are complex and so are the characters, while the animation is done in a very artistic way (most of the time). That's why I love the anime I do- for the characters, the stories and the awesome visuals.
I'm certain you're not the only person over 25 who loves anime. Its been around for years, so there are probably thousands of long-time adult fans. because, unlike most western cartoons, a lot of anime is actually aimed at adults, and even the ones that aren't have a better storyline than western cartoons. It's not just you, I love anime. The reason I like anime so much is all the anime I watch or have watched have awesome storylines. Stupid cartoons just seem to repeat themselves every episode, and the previous episode has nothing to do with it. I love following the story, and I like how some of the main characters in certain anime do die, unlike cartoons like superman, or something like that, where you know superman is ALWAYS going to win. I am in the same boat so you are not alone! I love anime and manga (more manga) because of the storyline and characters. Most of my favorite animes have a bit of everything that interests me. Plus, I love buying and collecting my favorite anime and mangas. I think its addicting cuz they have better storylines, more action, and you can never predict wats going to happen next. For example, American Movie Spiderman always wins, no matter what the suspense is, but Naruto, A Japanesse Anime, the hokage died.
