okay since rauj13 thinks this is a spoiler situation ill make my answer a spoiler just in case...

no they arent married but are in a relationship even though they deny such relationship...it is proven when kurenai becomes pregnant with asuma's child...however asuma die's while trying to take out hidan and kakuzu...before dieing he tell's shikamaru about the kurenai and the baby and asks him to look out for them...but like naruto the child will most likely inherit kurenai's last name since they werent married...
