Answers: I like to watch deep anime that address social or philosophical questions. some of my fav's are Gundam Wing, Wolf's Rain, Trigun, Perfect Blue, and Deathnote. Anything along the same lines?

Last Exile and Monster. They are brilliant! Monster is perhaps the most philosophical, psychological- everything. It's not "literally" about a creature. Please read the description on Animenewsnetwork.com!!!

Also, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni is deeply psychological and philosophical. It will not appear that way when you watch the first 2 episodes. I almost stopped watching it. But getting farther in the series, some of the events were horrifying, and some amazing questions were brought up.

I'll also add that the anime "Air" is a rather philosophical one. It's short, but it's full of it. It also didn't get masterpiece ratings for nothing. Overall, I recommend you choose "Monster."

I keep editing my post. =P Here's a mecha one that I deeply enjoy. You won't believe what this anime has in it- it makes it so unique compared to other mecha. Bokurano!

I recomend GUndam seed or zeta gundam. BTW check out BLood + or Bleach on adult swim.
