hehe i love this question...
well for me tobi is obito, he has the sharingan eye on the same side as obito does, the mask he wears covers his facial scars from the boulders crushing his face.
and i'd like to clarify that at no point in the manga did tobi say he was uchiha madara, he merely stated that he had or wanted to obtain his power...the sharingan's true power.
and for that he needs 3 mangekyou sharingans like Itachi's and he's waiting for Sasuke to obtain his.
as for why obito turned bad or whatever he is its pretty simple and everyone doesnt see it...
you are forgeting about Rin, the girl on his former team with kakashi.
obito had told kakashi to protect Rin for him and kakashi had agreed to it, but where is Rin now? probably dead, so that might be a huge reason in the whole thing.
just thought i'd point it out.
i mean Rin's character needs to have an effect to the storyline right?

i think its Madara Uchiha because in the manga, Tobi was seating on one of the statues where a waterfall is(i forgot the name) Tobi was seating on Madarame.

Madarame and Shodai Hokage faught and Madarame lost

i bet it's obito just like when everybody thought that pein was the 4th hokage i was the only one writing down that pein was someone else and i was right now everyone thinks that tobi is madara uchiha i bet that it's obito uchiha

He is definely Tobi because Tobi sharigan is on the right side and so does Obito

Definitely, it Obito because he had Sharingan in his right eye and Tobi has that mask center on his right side. The hair is similar as well. I really don't know why Obito would join the Akatsuki but that's my guess.
