It's just an art style... doofus. The character designer did their jobs and was paid for it. So there. Plently of American cartoons are "stickly" as well.

Yes, the way they snap is a ferocious snap the reason they seem like snakes standing is because they are (by most parts) part snakes. Skinny snappers that can be very dangerous.Be careful and don't do drugs and they will go away. and don't be afraid
