in my opinion both..i guess that only time will truly answer that..but how can he be gay if he wants to revive his clan? besides only sasuke can answer that question..he does seem to care for karin..when they aproached jugo's prison he stopped HER from opening it..and told her to stand back..i dunno people say he's asexual..not attracted to either...

and he is considered emo because if u noticed he almost never smiled in shippuuden...besides if u went through what he did then u probably would follow the same path as him...he is totally obsessed and has his mind set on revenge...!
