Can anyone tell me the sequence of X-Men comics and what are the spinoffs?!

Question: I'm going crazy over X-Men comics right now but I have no idea which series came first, second etc. e.g Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, and what spinoffs there were...?? The Avengers??

There are also roughly 75 or so X-Men related miniseries as well.

The first X-men comic was X-Men (now Uncanny X-men) the came X-men, Then New X-Men, Then Astonishing X-Men. Spin offs inclued New Mutants, X-Factor, X-Force, Accadomy X and many limited serries.

Uncanny X-Men started in 1963, without the Uncanny in the title for a little while. The 1st spin-off was New Mutants, which became X-Force after 100 issues. Then came X-Factor, Excalibur, & Wolverine (all in the 80s). Classic X-Men just did reprints.
Then came the "unadjectived" X-Men (1990?). In no real order, there was Generation X, Mutant X (?--Havok in an alternate timeline), & Exiles. Currently there is Astonishing X-Men, New X-Men, X-Men: First Class, & New Excalibur, & I don't know the rest. Check a comic shop, or www.marvel.com

I am not including any limited series in this.
Avengers was around before the X-Men by a couple months.
