In terms of animation and story, it sucks!
For me it was my first anime to watch and the best action anime I've ever seen.
Compared to today's quality of anime, it may not be the best but the whole story, how Goku meets friends along the way, and how he trained to become the best it is and will be a legendary manga-anime.

no, no and absolutely NO!!! that anime may be popular to otakus(mostly the guys) but i really don't like it! and watching it makes me feel weird like something, i can't explain. it is just it is NOT the best(there are many anime which is better than dbz!)
definately an awesome anime. it was one of the ground breaking animes that let all these newer animes get more exposure. it also stirs up my imagination more than any other anime still. characters like that just give me alot to imagine. especially people with that kind of massive power.
