u shouldnt model your life after batman. he is a good role model in the sense that he fights crime but he is also very anti social. campy batman sucks. i hate when they add robin or batgirl in. they ruin everything. batman should be alone beating the crap out of villains until they talk.

no

batman is far from gay, he's badass

omg i totaly agree and how he is just a fake super hero all he has is gadgets and the bat mobeil

who is good role model? jack bauer?
superman? spiderman?
that's right
there are no good role models left in this world
except cake

He's a dork, of course he's not a bad role model. If nothing else he helps people, how is that bad?

from that standpoint yes but when you take into account he worked hard to own that cave and fancy car without the help of super powers he could instill quite the strong work ethic in young children.

I think Robin's his nephew, so we don't have to worry about any relationships between him and Batman (I hope). But the second part you could say for any superhero. Although I did punch my mom once when I was 5 after watching the Power Rangers, I really don't think there's much harm.

batman lame as hell lol now superman is a great hero

No of course not, kids see it as they are meant to, to enjoy the happenings outside the real world. Batman and Robin are their hero's.

Well, when you put it like that....
Actually any way you look at it Batman is kind of a freak, isn't he?
But he looks good and can kick your butt, so watch out!!

He's only a bad influence if you make him out to be one. Children aren't going to understand something like what you wrote unless you explain it to them. And once you do that, it will probably confuse them more than anything.

Let kids be kids, let them like who they like and leave it at that. Unless your kid has a liking for serial killers and/or dominatrixes, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Why do people have to make innocent entertainment into something seedy and dodgy its your own sick mind mate the rest of us enjoy it for what it is are you a christian or something.

NO !!!!!!!!!!!!

If you look at it that way, ANY childrens superhero or book, movie or cartoon..I mean, look at Willy Wonka...ok, a grown man who has a candy factory and entices little kids to his factory with a "golden ticket"...only to dispose of them (a lot like Hansel and Gretel??)...when they anger him...and he picks his favorite to live with him (oh! shades of Michael Jackson!!! LOL!)....
Not bad role models dude...just adults who find sick humor in picking it apart...
But, funny though!

who the hell are you to diss da big bat if he dont kick yer a*se i will and get off my helmet you tw*t.

yeah, i totaly agree with the answer of the majority... and to add... what make batman a badguy... is because of his HORN ^-^
because every bad guys have horn... somewhere in their body... you may or may not see it... but you know it's there...to say that he is a badman... hehehehe=)

If your parents fail to be a good role model for you, don't blame it on Batman, Superman, Spider-man nor Aquaman. You should take it up with your parents! lets comic books be comic books...ok. oh by the way are you a good role model for your kids?

When you put it like that, then of course people are going to think he's a bad role model. However, that's not what I think of when I think of Batman. There are qualities he exudes which I believe are good for kids.

One is determination. He might take it to the extreme but we are talking about one normal human being taking on the evils of the world.

Dedication. Bruce Wayne put himself through years of endless training in order to become who he is. Whether it was martial arts or detective skills, he never lost sight of his goal.

no....but nowadays people think everything is bad...look at pirates of the caribbean before they made it to the movie...in the old day, the pirates were chasing the girls...then people complained and so they had to make the women holding food...people, that's how it was back in the pirate days...dont change it because some people are cry babies!!! >:(

If you do think that Batman is a bad role for kids, I will suggest you accompany your kids when they watch Batman movies. Parent guide is very essential for children.

Well that depends how you look at the character. If you pay attention to his peak intelligence, peak physical fitness, and not to mention loads of cash. Wouldn't you want your child to have all that?

P.S. What do you have against homosexuals?
