Whats the difference between a mobile suit and a gundam?!

A mobile suit is any of the mechs in the series.
A Gundam is a mobile suit made from a rare (yet they always make multiple huge machines with it, even groups who shouldn't have the finances to afford it) strong metal called gundanium, which makes them superior to the other mobile suits.
basically the same thing, but in all the different series they might make upgrades that they refer to different ones as either mobile suit or gundam
but the entire series is called Mobile Suit Gundam .....
interchangeable words
