Carnage!
The one scene I remember is when Spider-Man and Venom was searching for him, they noticed a crowd of people disturbed. When they went to investigate, they found a woman plowed halfway into a brick wall head first! Venom asked who did this, and one of the crowd members described Carnage and said, "He just came out of nowhere and said, 'Got to keep in practice.' and flung the girl into the wall." That was the first gory moment I read in a Spider-Man comic. Carnage was my favorite ever since.
