What is the biological resoning for why men get nose bleeds in anime?!

stress can dialate the numerous capillaries of the sinus lining causing them to rupture. Usually it requires intense stimuli; however, combined with a dry sinus it doesn't take much stimuli at all. I've suffered nosebleeds from concentrating too hard on tests myself.
