Death Note...?!
Question: I started reading Death Note about a week ago and now im on chapter 77. Dont get me wrong, it's a brilliant manga, but it really does go on a bit. Have you read it? Please tell me wether it has a good ending or not (dont tell me the ending) beacuse otherwise i probably wont read it all the way through

I can't really stand the manga because it's in black and white. Other people disagree with me and say that it's an artistic theme, but I just think it's an eye sore. I've heard that the anime ending is quite similar to the manga ending. So, here are my thoughts on the anime ending:
It's a huge twist (like most things in death note) and there's no possible way you can conclude HOW it ends without reading the whole thing. But, it's somewhat expected. I'll let you give your own analyisis of what that means.
It's a really good ending, nothing unexpected, really, but still very expected, and ended just the way it SHOULD end. That's all. It's worth the ride, though.

But, honestly after the 1st arc the series went kinda downhill for me. Don't get me wrong it's still good and the end made me laugh, but it just wasn't the same...

I liked the ending, I think it fit. I know personally that some were disappointed, but once you read the ending you'll see that it all depends on what side of the fence you're sitting on whether you like it or not.
The first arc or the L arc is really good and they do talk allot. but its kind of a manga were you actually have to think you can't just sit there and watch fight scene after fight scene. The ending is a little bit of a bummer depending on who is your fave. character. mine is L so it was pretty cool for me. I suggest you just finish reading it.
