Superman isn't brave. You can't be brave if you are indestructible. It's everyday people like me & you that are brave, knowing we can easily be defeated but still continuing forward. That's TRUE bravery.

It wouldn't really make much sense even if it was real. A guy coming down from another planet, being weak.

Superman is brave in that even though he knows he is harmed and can be killed by Krytonite and magic he still fights when he knows they are arround. He also willingly risked his own life with both Kryptonite and Krypton's red sun in Infanite Crissis. These are true signs of bravery.
Superman is not invincible. Have you read "Doomsday"? or read the Superman comics lately? He gets his @$$ handed to him by more powerful bad guys/gals.
It's not that he's brave (which he is, btw), but that his strength of character, high morals, fairness, etc., have earned him the nickname of "the Big Blue Boyscout". In the face of overwhelming odds against him, Superman always finds a way to defeat his enemies.

Superman is a fictional character. But ok, if you insist, Superman's courage stems not from the fact that he faces all adversaries because he is invincible. He is courageous for not giving in to the temptations inherent ot being invincible. Courageous for choosing to fight rather than to just walk away and leave the fighting to others. He is a hero becasue he chose to do wht he does without rewards, without regard for his own safety and wthout conditions.
Golden Age Superman was brave but the current one is a psychotic little baby.
